Cleaning Tips for Maintaining Brilliance
Daily Maintenance
Use a soft (microfiber) cloth dampened with warm water to wipe dust instead of harsh brooms that can cause micro-scratches and dull the shine.
Choosing the Right Soap
Rely on neutral soap (pH 7) specifically for natural marble. Avoid using abrasive sponges or metal scouring pads to preserve the smooth surface.
Immediate Drying
Water left on marble for long periods can leave white lime stains. Always ensure the surface is dried immediately after wet wiping with a cotton cloth.
Professional Stain Management
High-traffic areas like kitchens or counters are constantly exposed to spills. Success lies in response time and the correct treatment steps:
Response Time
Wipe spills immediately (especially in kitchens and work counters) by blotting and absorbing rather than rubbing, to prevent the stain from spreading.
Tea & Coffee Stains
Use a mild solution of hydrogen peroxide with a few drops of ammonia (extreme caution for light marble only) and rinse with pure water quickly.
Deep Oil Stains
For kitchen oils, create a poultice of baking soda and water, apply to the stain and cover with plastic wrap for 24 hours to draw the oil from the stone.
The Golden Rule
Marble and natural stone primarily consist of calcium carbonate, making them highly reactive and sensitive to acids. To protect your investment in luxury marble, the following materials are strictly prohibited:
- Vinegar and Lemon
- Standard Glass Cleaners
- Direct Bleach (Chlorine)
- Flash and Potent Bathroom Acids
- Any harsh chemical cleaners
